Rap Line:
From the debut of BTS to where they are now, the boys have never failed to give us some interesting outfits and styles. Over the years, regardless of the boys’ looks changing from Hip-hop to casual and casual to modern, BTS have always shown us their most handsome side. Continuing on from last weeks focus on the Vocal Line, this week we are exploring the rap line who have had an interesting array of styles in addition to experimental hair colours over the past 5 years; some of which are dearly missed.
To give you an idea of how the rap line’s style has developed over the years, take a look at this video, showing you the fashion developments of each member of the rap line- RM, Suga and J-Hope:

Kim Namjoon (RM):
RM debuted with ‘afro-like’ hair and over the years grew to try and forget about the phase he went through. He has had his hair bleached and dyed many times-having colours such as bright red, green, blonde, to purple; it’s safe to say that he has had his fair share. Along with his rapper look changing completely, RM has probably developed and changed the most with regards to fashion. RM may not have made the wisest choices regarding fashion, but he certainly never fails to try new looks!
The Friends Theory:
RM learning English through watching the classic TV show ‘Friends’ as a child growing up, many ARMYs believe that his fashion style and taste can be adopted from the characters within, with Ross being the main influence with his smart suits and casual taste. Though this has yet to be proven, it is still speculated amongst many ARMYs.

Min Yoongi (Suga):
Suga is one of the members to adopt a more casual and laid-back approach when it comes to fashion. He is often seen wearing hoodies and shirts paired with jeans. However, he is one of the members to have dyed their hair the most. From debuting with natural black hair, to red, mint green, blue, blonde, it’s safe to say that his scalp has suffered a lot! Regardless of the changes in hair colour, Suga remains our swag fashionista!

Jung Hoseok (J-Hope):
J-Hope can be argued to be one of the more fashionable members in BTS, suiting every look he has tried; some which were out of the ordinary. He has never shied away from trying new styles and although his hair has been less experimental, he makes up for it with his amazing outfits- whether it be at airports, concerts or everyday practice, J-Hope has always been able to deliver. He is not only the sun our lives; he is also our fashion king!

Over the years, the rap line has grown a lot fashion wise. They have steered away from the classic Hip-hop rapper look and have grown to wear more fashionable and ‘in trend’ clothing. Their hair will forever stay iconic and despite fashion styles changing, they will remain the same in our hearts. Not only are they rap gods, but they are fashion kings as well!

Vocal Line:
From the debut of BTS to where they are now, the boys have never failed to give us some interesting outfits and styles. Over the years, regardless of the boys’ looks changing from Hip-hop to casual and casual to modern, BTS have always shown us their most handsome side. This week it is the vocal line, they have all had their time with a variety of different styles.
To give you an idea of how the vocal line’s style has developed over the years, take a look at this video, showing you the fashion development of each member of the vocal line- Jin, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook:

Kim SeokJin (Jin):
Jin in August 2018
Jin was hired by BigHit for his visuals. It is safe to say that from debut, Jin has never disappointed us with not only his looks but his outfits as well. Going from hip-hop to  a fashion icon now. His hair, although being one of the least dyed, has still been quite experimental-with him first stepping out of the brown/ black colour in 2016 during ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever’, with his blonde hair, followed by ‘Wings’, with his pinky-blonde hair. Jin has never failed to disappoint fans with his good looks and his amazing style. Even around the world his style has never changed and he will always remain our Mr Worldwide Handsome!

Park Jimin:
Jimin in August 2018
Jimin being the oldest in the Maknae line went through some of the most drastic changes. Not talking about his style but more about his looks. Debuting with chubby cheeks and the cutest face, he underwent an intense diet and ended up losing some of his cheek fat. However, over the years, he has slowly started to regain the chubbiness in them and we have not loved him any less for doing so. His style like the other members have gone from hip-hop to more styled everyday clothing. Lastly his hair has been dyed quite a few times. During ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life pt2’, it was orange; ‘Wings’ it was lilac; ‘Love Yourself: Her’ it was blonde- his hair has undergone many changes. Jimin, no matter how old, will forever remain our little Mochi!

Kim Taehyung (V):
Taehyung in August 2018
Taehyung is considered to be the most fashionable member in BTS. He is well known for his Gucci outfits and in 2017 was Number 1 on ‘The Top 100 Most Handsome Faces’. His hair has been very experimented with in comparison to the rest of the vocal line, going from orange in ‘Skool Luv Affair’ to lilac in ‘Dark and Wild’. Other hairs colours include: blonde, red, silver. He has also experimented with different length hair. In 2017 having longer hair and in 2018, growing a mullet. Taehyung, however, has not always been our Gucci lover we know him as today; during debut he has a more Hip-hop look to him. Regardless of his past, Taehyung will always remain our Gucci King!

Jeon Jungkook:
Jungkook in August 2018
Jungkook, again, like the other members started off in BTS with a more hip-hop style. But over the years has grown out of that. His hair, being the most unchanged in the group (different shades of brown or black), has always been predicted by fans. To make up for lack of change in hair colour, however, his hair has been styled in many different ways. That is until 2018, when he turned a new leaf. Dying his hair from black to magenta, then magenta to blonde, and now orange-red, Jungkook decided to step out of his comfort zone of black and brown since 2014 and surprised ARMYs. Jungkook definitely is not the boy we knew 5 years ago!

The vocal line, has shown us various changes in style and although have not been as experimental with their hair, they have never failed to deliver their handsome looks and always manage to melt ARMYs hearts. We love our fashion kings! Next week, we look at the fashion development of our rap line, who seem to be have been more daring with their hair, but still manage to steal all our hearts!
