Map of the Soul: Persona [decoded]

April 2019 was the month that the South Korean band BTS released their eagerly awaited album 'Map of the Soul: Persona', leaving the 'Love Yourself' trilogy era behind and embarking on a whole new path. What we didn't know is that the start of the path was dedicated to ARMY.

In a recent VLive, RM spoke about how much this album meant to all the members of BTS and how the songs in the album were their way of giving thanks and love to the people that support them and keep walking with them throughout their musical and personal journey.

RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook have all been extremely hands on with every album they have made, pouring their thoughts, feelings, dreams, and fears into lyrics and melodies they hope will lift your spirits, provide comfort, and promote self love.

Working alongside BTS for this album are an eclectic group of individuals who have contributed immensely to the production of 'Map of the Soul: Persona' - penning some of the lyrics that complement the groups own, and mixing the final composition with them to create what we hear when we press play.

These individuals are artists in their own right, and have been writing lyrics for other artists all over the world, helping people tell their stories through music.
