Episode 3 of the Docu-series, titled 'Relationship' focused on the Canadian leg of their tour. Starting off with Happiness, then talking about Loneliness, it became apparent in this episode that BTS, though may seem carefree and happy, they in fact had doubts and worries.
We hear Hoseok talk about the question "what is happiness?", he is not able to give a definite answer to it, that saying he is happy doesn't feel right but saying he is unhappy also doesn't feel right. But because he's smiling and doing what he wants, saying that he's happy would be true.
Jin talks about he is happy because the moments such as concerts he spends with ARMY and that he finds himself happy when he takes everything less seriously because things seem more fun.
Jimin then talks about how he went through thinking very negative thoughts and if what he was doing was worth it but he then says that he does think that it is important to seek happiness and it's dependent on how one thinks.
Moving on from happiness, we explore loneliness. During dinner, Jimin talks to Jungkook about how he feels lonely and has cried about it. The fact that they stay in separate hotel rooms makes the loneliness appear. Hoseok also mentions how staying away from home makes him feel lonely but is part of the job so he learns to deal with it.
This episode though does not just focus on these two things solely. Towards the end of the episode we see and feel the relationship that the members have between themselves, the staff and ARMY. The staff talks to BTS about how they feel after their most recent performance in Canada - it being their first show there. Through the talk, you can see how much respect and acknowledgment BTS showed. They put aside any pride and are humble in the critique received, and accepting and discussing what the staff were saying.
Intent on improving themselves they go back to their hotel and as group sit together to watch their show and compared it to the first concert in Seoul. Throughout this, the members were painting out each other's weak point and giving constructive criticism. The members each taking on board what was being said. They have mutual respect for each other and that is really important. Through this we see that the relationship BTS have is unbreakable, strong and the bond is unlike anything we've seen from them before. A relationship based on mutual respect, understanding, and a drive to always give the best of themselves to their fans, their staff, and most importantly, to themselves as artists.
Finally the relationship between BTS and ARMY is also highlighted as we get some footage of ARMY voicing their thoughts and feelings to BTS and everything that they have helped us with and it's safe to say that we'd all agree with what was said.
"Even if we are apart, our hearts are connected to each other"
